Art Walk on the High Line at the Rail Yards

Carol Bove, Caterpillar

I love the way Carol Bove’s installations along the High Line are integrated into the landscape. They seem to have sprung from the railroad tracks themselves, built with the remnants of the past. Her works are very organic and show respect for the environment they are situated in. Each work also creates amazing sight lines enabling the viewer to appreciate their surroundings in new and interesting ways.
